Connecting Richie AI to a Subdomain

The Richie AI system, which includes a website, an application management system, and a merchant portal, is connected to a free Richie AI subdomain by default, typically set in the following format: https://yourbusinessname.richie.ai.

However, you have the flexibility to connect Richie AI to any subdomain you own, requiring only 5-10 minutes of your time.

What is a Subdomain?

A subdomain serves as a distinct branch under your primary domain, ideal if you're satisfied with your existing landing page but want to use Richie AI as the 'engine' for your applications, merchant portal, and CRM, while keeping your personalized landing page. Here's how it might look:

Capital For Business Example:

• Landing page: https://capitalforbusiness.net
• Application: https://app.capitalforbusiness.net

When a merchant clicks the "Apply Now" button on https://capitalforbusiness.net, they are redirected to https://app.capitalforbusiness.net to apply.

Connecting Richie AI to a Subdomain:

1. Access the Richie AI dashboard at https://richie.ai/dashboard.

2. Navigate to "Step 4️⃣. Connect the system to your own domain" and select "Attach domain."

3. Enter your chosen subdomain in the provided field. For this guide, we'll use app.example.com, but it can be any subdomain, provided you own it. Enter app.example.com and click "Attach Domain."
   
   
   
   

4. Richie AI will then supply a Target Link for a CNAME record, essential for the following steps.
   
   
   
   

5. The next steps must be completed with your Domain Provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains). While we guide you through the first four steps, domain provider-related actions are outside our scope. However, your domain provider can assist in creating a CNAME record for your subdomain. Simply inform them that "you need to create a CNAME record for a subdomain."

7. Subdomain activation may take up to 24 hours, though it usually occurs within a few minutes.
